NDIS Core Support

Acquired brain injury &
high complex needs specialist services provider

What is Core Support?

Core Support is one of the funding categories available under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). It is designed to provide essential assistance to participants, helping them with daily activities, increasing independence, and supporting community engagement. This support is flexible and can be tailored to meet the participant’s individual needs and goals.

NDIS Core Support at arbias

At arbias, we provide Assistance with Social and Community Participation as part of NDIS Core Support. This service helps participants take part in activities like social events, community programs, and group activities. These experiences are designed to build confidence, foster meaningful connections, and encourage active participation in the community.

We specialize in supporting individuals with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), addressing their unique needs with care and expertise. We are equally committed to providing high-quality, tailored support for participants with other disabilities, ensuring everyone receives the assistance they need to achieve their goals.

To truly understand each participant’s needs, we start with a friendly meet-and-greet after receiving a referral. This meeting helps us build trust, create a positive connection, and make informed decisions about the participant’s support.

As part of our approach, our support workers may collaborate with in-house neuropsychologists and support coordinators when needed to develop plans that align closely with the participant’s goals and aspirations. This collaborative approach ensures our services are both meaningful and effective.

At arbias, we are committed to providing care that goes beyond the basics. Our goal is to empower participants with the confidence, skills, and connections they need to lead fulfilling lives. If you’d like to learn more or have any questions, feel free to contact us we’re here to help.

step by step guide on

How to get support

Step 1

Make a referral

Referrals can be made by doctors, support workers, family members, or participants themselves. This is the first step to let us know about your interest in our services.

Step 2

Develop a profile

Our team gathers important information, including medical history, primary disability, diagnosis, and anything else our staff needs to know to provide the best support.

Step 3

Meet and greet

During this step, we meet with the participant or referrer to understand the participant’s needs, goals, and expectations. This is where we aim to build trust, establish rapport, and create a strong foundation for the support journey. At the same time, we also complete any necessary documentation, such as service agreements and policies, to formalize the process.

Step 4

Match with a support worker

Based on the participant’s profile and needs, we carefully allocate the most suitable support worker from our team to ensure a positive and effective match.

Step 5

Start Your support journey

After completing the steps above, the participant’s support officially begins, tailored to meet their unique needs and goals.

Our People

We take pride in what we do and the care we bring to every person we support. Hear from our clients on how we try to make a difference.
