What is Psychosocial Recovery Coach?
A Psychosocial Recovery Coach is a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) funded professional who provides specialised support for individuals living with psychosocial disabilities. These disabilities stem from ongoing mental health conditions, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, severe depression, anxiety disorders, and personality disorders, which can affect daily life, relationships, and independence.
Living with a psychosocial disability can sometimes make it difficult to manage everyday responsibilities, connect with others, or access the right support. A Recovery Coach works alongside individuals to provide practical guidance, emotional support, and service coordination, helping them build confidence and resilience. By focusing on strengths, personal goals, and recovery strategies, this service empowers individuals to regain independence, improve well-being, and take an active role in their communities.

Please find answers to some of the most common questions. If you still need help, we’re just a message away.
A recovery coach works alongside you to build confidence, set goals, and take steps toward a more stable and connected life. They support you through tough times and help you stay on track with your mental health recovery.
Not quite. While both roles help you make the most of your NDIS plan, a recovery coach has a stronger focus on mental health and personal recovery. They combine lived or learned experience with hands-on support.
In most cases, people have one or the other but, in some situations, the NDIS may fund both. This usually happens when there’s a clear reason for needing both roles, and the tasks they do are different but still work together to support you. It depends on your individual needs, and what’s considered the best use of your plan.
Yes. This service is designed for people living with a psychosocial disability (a mental health condition that affects daily living). We’re happy to chat and help you figure out if it’s the right support for you.
