What is Supported Independent Accommodation (RIPL)?
Residential Independent Proprietary Limited (RIPL) is a 24/7 supported living program designed to assist individuals in regaining independence after a traffic accident or serious injury. Funded by the Transport Accident Commission (TAC), RIPL provides structured aftercare and rehabilitation support for those with complex personal care needs.
This goal-oriented program helps participants transition towards attendant care, supported accommodation, or independent living, ensuring they receive the right level of support during their recovery journey.
RIPL is not a permanent housing solution but a steppingstone to long-term care, offering:
- Personal care, including medication management, catheter/bowel care, and daily assistance.
- Community access, supporting participation in social, medical, and psychological services.
- Rehabilitation services, such as hydrotherapy, home exercise programs, and therapy support.
- Daily living assistance, including meal preparation and home management.
